A portrait of the famous marble quarry located in Marble, Colorado, that has supplied marble for famous American structures, such as the Lincoln Memorial and theTomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery. The film shows how the quarry's finishing mill looked prior to 1942; how workers cut and drilled marble more than 100 years ago; marble being extracted and finished during the 1990's. Includes interviews with employees who worked at the mill prior to WW II. Shows the quarry as it looks today and the cutting of marble by a 14-foot chainsaw.
